Ska music is syncopated, meaning it's played on the offbeat.

Rock and punk are played on the beat.

Ska is played on the offbeat.

I don't care if ska is played slow or fast. In my opinion, if it doesn't have that syncopated beat, it's not ska.

The purpose of this podcast is to show that around the world, many acts are putting out quality ska. And, that the bands that are "ska punk" aren't just adding a horn section to a punk band.
